After
upgrading at the Remontowa yard at Gdansk, the ex Harwich – Hook vessels Stena
Hollandica and Stena Britannica will be transferred to the Gothenburg-Kiel
route, where they will replace the existing four vessels that currently service
Gothenburg-Germany. The vessels Stena Germanica and Stena Scandinavica will be
moved to Karlskrona - Gdynia service.
Further
details of the upgrade work on the two ships – the Stena Hollandica having
already arrived in Gdansk – can be found on http://www.remontowa.pl/index.php?n=542
Upon her transfer to the Karlskrona - Gdynia route in November the Stena Germanica will be re-named the Stena Vision and replace the Finnarrow. In February the current
Stena Scandinavica will become the Stena Spirit, replacing the Stena Baltica. The names were chosen through a public competition that attracted 14,000
entries.

NORDIC FERRY SERVICES - Færgen
1 May 2010
From October 2010 Nordic Ferry Services will change its name to Færgen. This means that the suffix "trafikken" in operating company names will be replaced by "færgen". Samsøtrafikken will become
Samsøfærgen, Fanøtrafikken will change to Fanøfærgen and Bornholmstrafikken becomes Bornholmerfærgen. Ships will be painted with new logos during planned maintenance - an exercise that should be completed in 2012. The change reflects that the company no-longer expects to expand its activities across the Nordic area. Joint ownership will still remain with Bornholmstrafikken (Bornholmerfærgen) and
Clipper Group.
