UND Ro Ro

The ro-ro vessel Adriyatik which caught fire in 2008 has been beached in Aliaga for breaking. Earlier plans to re-build her have been abandoned.

VENTOURIS FERRIES

Ventouris Ferries’ recently acquired Bari on sea trails before entering service for her new owners. Built for Sealink in 1980 as the St Anselm she became the Stena Cambria before leaving UK waters on her sale to Umafisa in 1999. They re-named her the Isla de Botafoc , the name she retained when Umafisa were taken over by Balearia.She was briefly names the Winner 9 and was expected to go for breaking before being bought by Ventouris Ferries.

The Austal-built trimaran Benchijigia Express during her recent dry-docking.  Austal have recently established a maintenance facility on the Straits of Gibraltar to support fast craft operators in southern Europe.

The Hellenic Wind, ex Viking, Ex Superseacat Two and now owned by Hellenic Seaways will again be chartered this summer, to run alongside the Express Santorini . The fastcraft is scheduled to run from 7th June to 26th September, with the ‘Santorini’ starting on 3 May until 10 October
