TransEuropa Ferries commenced ferry operations on the English Channel between Ramsgate and Ostend in 1998, following the demise of Sally Ferries. The company started its own passenger service during 2004 and has used a variety of ships on their services on the English Channel, most of which have operated for other operators. At one stage the company had a fleet of six ships and were becoming a dominant force in ferry services between the UK and Belgium. In April 2013 the company ceased operations and the service was closed. In this book Dean Smith traces the rise and fall of this Slovenian shipping company.
